Koontz-Bryant provided design surveys, civil engineering, environmental
services, and landscape architecture (irrigation) services for 5
high quality, collegiate NCAA competition and practice fields. Phase
I consisted of a NCAA Field Hockey/Lacrosse competition field and
associated practice field. Phase II included conversion of existing
soccer field on track infield to a collegiate NCAA football field
and relocation of several track and field events. Phase III consists
of two football practice field. All fields were constructed to the
same specifications including laser grading to ¼ inch tolerance,
6 inches of premium blended topsoil, an irrigation system including
injection fertilization and sprigged with Bermuda grass. Phase I
and III were on accelerated schedules due to committed game schedules.
Phase I construction started in February of 1999 and the first Lacrosse
match was played on the field in mid August of 1999. Construction
costs for all fields are approximately $1 Million.
