Paul F. Hinson, PE, LEED AP
Director of Engineering
Professional Experience:
Mr. Hinson has 19 years of experience in design and management of engineering projects including construction and permitting. Mr. Hinson serves as the Director of Engineering for Koontz-Bryant.
Project Experience:
Christopher Newport University - Newport News, VA
Project Manager for civil engineering design for 37 university projects, including preparation of a storm water quality and quantity master plan. Implementation included design and approvals of a major storm sewer construction project that created the main trunk line for the continued expansion of the University. Other projects include residence halls, student centers, parking and athletic facilities. We are fortunate to provide services under a term contract.
The University of Mary Washington - Fredericksburg, VA
Project Manager for civil engineering for Stormwater Master Plan for the main campus. Compile engineering data, recommendations and conclusions in a report for submittal to Department of Conservation and Recreation for review and approval. We are fortunate to provide services under a term contract with the University.
Virginia Commonwealth University - Richmond, VA
Project Manager for the project that involved the conversion of an existing supermarket building into classrooms. Project team was required to complete drawings and documents within a condensed time frame to meet the University’s schedule for project completion.
The Steward School - Henrico County, VA
Project Manager for full civil design services including design surveys, site and utility design and construction administration for all civil infrastructure related to the $25 million dollar school expansion. The Steward School is a K-12 private school on a 35 acre site just west of Richmond. The expansion included a new soccer field, multi-purpose field, tennis courts, multipurpose gymnasium seating approximately 1000, fine arts building, library/administrative building, parking facilities for approximately 300 vehicles, public utilities, storm drainage and storm water management.
Walmart, Inc. - Ashland, VA
Project Manager/Engineer for 160,000 square foot Walmart SUPERCENTER with 30,800 square feet of retail shops.
Walmart, Inc. - Midlothian, VA
Department Manager/Project Manager for a 100,000 square foot expansion of an existing Walmart store. A new SUPERCENTER was created with added gasoline station adjacent to Sam’s Club.
Delmarva Properties, Inc. - New Kent, VA
Project Manager/Engineer for a 5,000 acre mixed use project. The project included the design and permitting of a wastewater treatment plant and wastewater collection system, water storage tank, pump station and distribution system, road network and all required County and State permits.
